Payne 5th Grader has been selected to be a delgate for the 2013 Children's Congress this summer through JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Out of thousands of children that apply each year only 100-150 kids are selected to attend from all over the US. Payne School Named to State Honor Roll

Congratulations to our DI team, The Extraordinary Flying Strawberry Milkshakes, with team members, Mridu Srivastava, Ashley Oh and Adhira Upadhyay. They have advanced from Regional and State competitions and have been invited to participate in DI’s in Global Finals, the world's largest celebration of creativity. Many thanks to the Moreland Educational Foundation (MEF) for its generous support with a Small Grant to help send the team to Knoxville!

Future Chefs Competition
On Wednesday, February 27th, the Moreland School District held the 3rd Annual Future Chefs Competition. Congratulations to Melissa Garcia Vallejo and Olivia Hand who were selected as Payne’s finalists to compete at the district-level competition at Moreland Middle School. This year the focus of the competition was on creating a healthy salad.
A special congratulations to Olivia Hand who was selected as the winner of the entire competition for her Pretzel Crusted Chicken Salad!
