Use SCRIP to help Payne School
What Is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for your child and for Payne.
How Scrip generates revenue for you
When you purchase Scrip, from 2-15% goes to profit for Payne School. Profits will go to the HSC and are used for field trips, assemblies and classroom supplements. In addition, 1% of your purchase will be deposited into your child’s 5th grade Science Camp Fund. For example, if you buy a $25 Starbuck’s Card, 7% or $1.75 will be raised for Payne, and 1% or .25 will be deposited into your child’s 5th grade Science Camp Fund. It may not sound like much, but if you make Scrip a habit the dollars add up quickly!
Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don’t have to sell anything. We produce revenue by making regular household purchases we would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.
